Slip the repair flange spanner under the broken toilet flange but put one of the toilet bolts through the hole in the spanner first in order to easily reinstall the toilet.

Bring it to a local home depot store for help determining if you need a pvc copper iron or aluminum replacement toilet flange. Toilet flanges provide a stable surface that the toilet grabs onto through retaining bolts. Use tapcon anchors or a similar type of masonry concrete screws to fasten the toilet flange to the concrete slab. To replace the rusted toilet flange you first need to remove the broken or rusted areas using a hacksaw.

If using a plastic flange ring be careful not to crack the ring by screwing the anchors in too far. With the toilet flange in place you are ready to install the toilet with a new wax ring.
