It is very rare for the ceramic discs to wear out and the need to replace them is even rarer.

It is most often just a case of dismantling the moving parts and servicing them. I can t find a listing for ceramic mixer cartridges either pretty sure they still sell them though. The retaining washer here acts just like a normal tap washer providing a seal between the tap and ceramic disc. Remove the retaining washer and tap it on the kitchen or bathroom surface.

Apologies if this is a dumb question but i am replacing a few standard valves on my taps which have either seized up or dripping. Plenty of ceramic disc taps.
