Set your air conditioning to the max setting and turn it on. They do this until the temperature comes down to normal levels. If the fan starts working then all you need is a new sensor for the cooling fan. When you car gets too hot it needs a little extra boost to cool down and the radiator cooling fan is the part for the job.

The cooling fan module is supposed to cool the car parts when they get too hot. On many modern vehicles if you want to confirm whether your cooling fan is in working order you can start the engine and let it idle. Check your car manual to locate it. Remove and replace the radiator fan motor. The position of this switch depends on your car. Well your car has one of its own. Test for power and ground going to the fan.

Thermostatically controlled motors do not work the fan until the engine coolant rises above normal operating temperature and then switch off when it has cooled down again. The more your car s engine works the more heat it produces. To check that the fan is working listen for it cutting in and out and watch the temperature gauge. Check the cooling fan relay.

To check it you need to unplug it ground the terminal from that end and take the other end of the ground wire to the negative terminal of the battery. Check for proper operation of fan.
